Convention 2010 will be a rapid fire round of workshops, networking dinners, entertainment, a surprise off campus outing, and Convention 2010 will be capped off by the Annual Semi Formal Awards Banquet where the International Birthday Game winners will be acknowledged and much much more. 2. Can I bring a guest? |

Convention 2010 is for the International Group of Applied Scholastics Licensees and their staff members. The workshops are geared to be universally applicable to everyone in our network. However, this convention will be a two track event and there will be events that guests who are not APS licensees can and should attend. For more information contact Erica Vargas at 314-605-8698. |

3. Are there discounts? |

Yes, if you are bringing more than one person from your group, school or center. There is a decrease in successive tickets which are: First Person: $ 435.00, Additional Person: $ 380.00, Additional Person: $ 360.00. We look forward to seeing you here! |

5. When should I arrive? |
 |
| |
There will be an incredibly warm welcome for you on July 14th, 2010. This is also when you’ll get situated into your well appointed room. You’ll register for the convention and have time for networking and enjoy some great entertainment. |

6. Are toiletries provided or should I bring them? |
 |
| |
Yes, travel size toiletries are available for purchase in our well stocked canteen. You’ll find shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste, laundry soap, feminine products and gift shop items from APS Int! It is recommended, though, that you bring the items you typically bring when traveling such as vitamins, your favorite toiletries, etc. |

7. Are there laundry services and/or irons available on campus? |
 |

There are fully equipped laundry and ironing rooms conveniently located on each floor for your use. If you have dry cleaning that needs to be done, our Director of Guest Services can arrange for it to be picked-up and dropped-off at the campus at standard dry cleaning rates. |

8. Do I need to bring dress clothes or is it casual? |
 |
| |
While the dress throughout the Convention is typically Business Casual, there are two events where you will want to have a specific wardrobe. The Annual Awards Banquet where the International Birthday Game winners will be acknowledged is Semi-Formal. And our special field trip outing will be comfortable and quite casual. |

9. What can I expect to get from the convention? |
 |

This year our speakers and workshops will focus on broad dissemination and outreach. You will learn how to drive public into your Applied Scholastics activity using 21st century technology as well as core information and references from L. Ron Hubbard. You will go away with the data learned; the planning done; the confidence that your organization will serve an exponentially higher number of students in the coming year; the certainty that your Applied Scholastics organization will expand – and knowing that you can make it viable (even in this time of economic challenge). |

10. How do I go about volunteering for convention? |

11. Can I bring a camera? |

Yes! YOU are the reason for convention and we look forward to making this an experience you will benefit from and treasure! So, take many many pictures and have fun capturing the convention – you can go back and tell anyone who could not make it, that they MUST come next year! |

12. Will there be "APS stuff" which we can purchase and bring back to our staff/students? |

Yes, there will be gift shop items in our canteen available for purchase that you can take home with you to show that ‘You were there’ and to encourage others to come with you next year! |

The campus provides four basic styles of rooming accommodations – 4-bed dormitory rooms, shared rooms, private rooms and suites. They go fast – so if you want to pick and choose where you lay your head each night after a long day of fun. Register NOW!

20. Is transportation provided to and from the airports? |

We are happy to pick you up at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport or the St. Louis Train Station or Bus Depot. Please contact and arrange your arrival and departure itinerary with Erica Vargas convention@appliedscholastics.org as soon as you have your transportation booked. Pick up is at the baggage claim areas. The driver will have an Applied Scholastics sign for identification. Based on your arrival information, along with potentially other arriving guests, we will be there as timely as possible. If you have a mobile phone, please provide us with that number. |

21. Can I get wireless internet connection? |

Each floor has a business center with an Internet access computer, printer capability and phone. Wireless access is provided throughout the building for both PC and Apple computers. |

23. Are there TVs or Phones provided in the rooms? |
 |
| |
Individual rooms are not equipped with phones, TVs or DVD/VCR players. A limited number of suites are available with DVD players and viewing screens – AND individual internet access (wireless or not). There is no cable TV access on the campus at all. Cell phone reception is generally fine. You will find some campus locations better than others – reception varies with the phone type and the service you have. |
